Paste link.staging.wi.fo/ in front of any URL while signed in. You get a short link at wi.fo/your-slug.

While signed in, you can create a short link without opening the dashboard. Paste this pattern in front of any URL in your browser:

link.staging.wi.fo/your-slug/your-url
Your slug
The short name for your link (letters, numbers, and hyphens only).
Your URL
The full page you want the short link to open.

If the slug is new, wi.fo creates wi.fo/your-slug pointing at that page. If you already own the slug with the same destination, you are sent back to your dashboard. You must be signed in - otherwise you will be asked to log in first and then returned to the same URL.

Example

  1. You are on youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ.
  2. Edit the address bar to link.staging.wi.fo/youtube-video/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ and press Enter.
  3. Share wi.fo/youtube-video with anyone.

Query strings are preserved. If the page URL already has ?v=… or other parameters, they are appended to the destination correctly.
