Who we are
wi.fo is operated by Sven Jeurgens (a sole proprietorship / eenmanszaak registered in the Netherlands), KvK 86357336. For any privacy question, contact hello@wi.fo.
What we collect, why, and our legal basis
Account data (username, name, email, password hash), to run your account. Basis: performing our contract with you.
Profile, links, wifi networks, lost-and-found and saved items you create, to provide the Service. Basis: performing our contract.
Billing status for Pro (your card is handled by Stripe, so we never store card numbers), to take payment. Basis: performing our contract and meeting a legal obligation.
Transactional email such as verification, password resets and receipts, to operate the Service. Basis: performing our contract.
A session cookie, to keep you signed in. Basis: strictly necessary.
Server logs including IP address and timestamp, for security and operation. Basis: our legitimate interest.
Counting and analytics
We count page views, link clicks and wifi scans on our own servers to show you basic stats. We use no third-party analytics or advertising cookies and no ad trackers.
Who we share data with
We use these processors to run wi.fo:
Neon for database hosting
Vercel for site hosting
Stripe for payments
Resend for transactional email
Storyblok for site content
International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We delete your account data within 30 days of you deleting your account. We keep billing and invoice records for 7 years to meet Dutch tax law. Server logs are kept for about 90 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@wi.fo. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
